The interview process was smooth and quick but they gave a low-ball offer significantly below their advertised pay range. The recruiter initially stated a lower pay range than the job posting online had shown, this should have been the first red flag, but it was still a good range for me and we moved forward. After 3 interviews and double checking my expected salary, which was at the mid-point of the range according to the recruiter, I was offered a number that didn’t even meet the lowest pay of that range. Not sure what the point was or what tactic this was supposed to be, but it’s a huge waste of time for candidates and the employer. Transparency is key. If you’re seeing red flags before even accepting an offer, it’s probably a great indication of what working there will actually be like.

Interviewed with six team members in addition to lunch with the team. There were cases involved, although they were not math-oriented, but more problem solving. Some team member interviews were extremely surface-level, while others were more in depth. No typical behavioral questions.
