      Software Engineer Interview

      Sep 29, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Royal Oak, MI
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vectorform (Royal Oak, MI) in Sep 2016

      Interview

I was contacted by an internal recruiter, then I had a phone interview, I was asked to develop a demo project that in my case was an mvc task list, the demo project is after all a time consuming task, and I usually won't do it unless I really like the company. finally I was invited me for an onsite interview, and I was given a tour of the company. the recruiter constantly reassured me that the interview went very well. One week after, I've got a short email saying again that everything went very well and they were jut interviewing other candidates. then they went silent. given the time consuming interview process I think that's unprofessional.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vectorform (Royal Oak, MI) in Aug 2017

      Interview

I had a phone interview with HR followed up with a challenge to complete a demo project and then three separate onsite interviews. I was asked some basic technical questions but nothing too crazy. The interviews were very conversational in nature and it really felt more like a check to see if my personality would mesh with the company. HR made me feel very comfortable and was great throughout the whole process. They were prompt to communicate/answer any questions or concerns that I had.
