I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Veeva Systems
Interview
The first half of the interview was typical, with questions about my experience, what I liked / didn't like about my role, etc.
However, the questions asked towards the end were quite concerning. I was asked personal questions about my family, specifically what my parents did for a living and whether I had any siblings.
It's worth noting that such questioning is not just uncomfortable—it's also illegal. With my background in Talent Acquisition, I'm well aware that delving into candidates' personal lives is strictly off-limits and professionally inappropriate.
It was brief and not a lot of questions asked. They seemed to be looking for something specific. I couldn't tell if they just weren't interested in me or if there was something else going on.
