Recruiter reached out to me about the role.
Recruiter did the initial phone screen.
After a week or so, the recruiter came back again and setup a phone interview with the Manager (VP of the division). Phone Interview was pleasant; good exchange of information and I was hoping for a callback.
After a week or so the recruiter setup an interview schedule comprising on 4 (1:1) Interviews.
The first interview was with a peer who was heading some of the projects the new Product Manager would eventually takeover. The interview was cordial and informative
The second interview was with a Sr. Product Manager who worked for my present company. Initially it was bot awkward but eventually I thought I did good.
The third interview was with Hiring Manager who had couple of situational and behavioral questions about Product Management. It seemed I was making good progress there.
Unfortunately, this interview was cut short when the Hiring Manager got pulled into another meeting. This resulted in me doing nothing waiting anxiously for next interviewer.
The final interview was with my Hiring Manager's boss, this was another productive interview with focus on behavioral questions and role-playing. This interviewer was also a former employee of my present company and informed that he knew my present bosses really well. All in all I was hoping for a positive outcome.
After a week or so I reached out to the recruiter seeking feedback on interview - the recruiter informed that they are wrapping the interviews and I was one of the finalists for the role. Another week passed and still no feedback
Meanwhile, an old coworker of mine informed me that she was contacted by Hiring Manager's boss asking my ex coworker's input viz. hiring me. The ex-coworker asked me to stress on strategy aspects of Product Management if get a callback.
Another 2 weeks passed and I still did not get any feedback from onsite interview which was disappointing.
