I applied for the senior financial analyst role with velocify online. A few weeks to a month later I was contacted by an in house HR recruiter for a phone screening. this was a fairly brief call 20 minutes or so, It consisted of me walking her through my resume and detailing my interest in the company. She attempted to ask for salary history and expectations. A couple weeks later I was invited to speak with the hiring manager. This call was very strange. I say this call was strange because the director focused questions on my job search and not my qualifications. She asked how many companies had I applied to? Which companies had the most opening? What did I feel was the current job search climate? She even asked me what companies did I think would be he biggest competition for candidates. Plus the director was very presumptuous. I.e. -"you don't want to work here since your experience is in other industries" or "you would not hold this job long will you" I never heard from the company after that call
