I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at VelocityEHS in Jun 2023
Interview
The company's internal recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn for a phone screen. In the first 60 seconds, I knew it was not a fit as the recruiter said this was an "entry-level" position. Unfortunately the job description doesn't read as entry-level and does not indicate requisite years experience or provide compensation range- so I was flying blind. As someone with +10 years of market research experience, I am not sure why I was contacted in the first place. Added bonus: the recruiter missed our initial call and I rescheduled. While I enjoy learning about different SaaS segments and companies, there are better ways. If HR leadership is forcing recruiters to make screening quotas, this is what happens.
