I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verbal Beginnings (Silver Spring, MD) in Oct 2020
Interview
A lot of it was discussing previous work experience with children (you can make an argument for yourself that your previous experience was a valuable learning experience even if you did not work with kids with autism) and also experience working with groups. I was asked about how I would use specific materials in order to engage with children. I was asked if I could deal with the physical demands of the job (such as dealing with potentially aggressive clients). We also discussed possible benefits and pay. The interview was about an hour long online and every second involved talking and discussion; no awkward silences since there was a lot to discuss. Make sure you know what questions you want to ask and to write down answers cuz there's a lot of information given.
