I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vericast (Deer Park, TX) in Sep 2019
Interview
The interview process was a waste of time and disrespectful to a point. The company advertised position on LinkedIn late July 2019 and I applied two days later. I was contacted by the first recruiter handling the posting about a week after I applied and I passed her initial phone screening. Then I didn’t hear from them for a month. Yes, they ghosted me for an entire month. Then this email pops up from the original recruiter trying to schedule a Second Phone interview this time with the hiring manager. The second interview was average and I passed it. The hiring manager called early the following morning to schedule a third interview at the plant with excitement in her voice. This was a Panel interview consisting of 4 members:
1st member: 7 years in the same role without progression
2nd member: 22 years in the same role without progression
3rd member: 7 years in the same role with no progression and no education
4th member: 20 years in the same role without progression
The 9 questions they asked me were so irrelevant, long, open ended and ridiculous that one of the interviewers had to admit it and excused herself. I have never even heard of questions like the ones they asked in my 12 years career as an HR Executive. They never gave me the opportunity to pitch myself or say why I wanted to work there, yet upon asking them they said they had no reservations about me. Poor interview tactics, very disorganized and disrespectful as one of the interviewers was clearly grading my answers in a scale from 1-5 right there in front of me as I was answering each one of their silly questions. So rude and disrespectful! It was throwing me off and I really wanted to ask what he was doing that was more important than writing down my answers or paying attention to what I was saying! Mind you, I drove 160 miles roundtrip to attend this interview and had to spend one night in a local hotel, they knew this. I drove through a Tropical Storm. My suit was drenched in water from the rain when I left the interview, because one of the interviewers was no gentleman. He didn’t offer to walk me to my car with an umbrella. No, instead he watched me from the window as I had to run to my vehicle. All I kept hearing from everyone throughout the entire 2 months ordeal was “This position has been open for too long!”... They lamented and whined nonstop about how long it has been open, yet after 500 applications if you still can’t find the “perfect” candidate it’s time to start looking in the mirror. Maybe you’re not qualified enough to make the hiring decisions. My experience dealing with this company was a bunch of inexperienced people dealing with an exceptional candidate. I sent each of them a thank you email right after the panel interview, as well sent each one of them a handwritten thank you card and not a single individual had neither the courtesy nor the manners to acknowledge my thank you attempts. I found out they moved with other candidates not by a direct communication from them, but by closing out my application on their career website and referring me to apply to other opportunities. After three interviews over a two month period you think they would at least send an email thanking you for your time and interest in the company. NOTHING! Do you think I want to work for these people? Do you want to work for this kind of people? I don’t! Good luck finding and keeping the “perfect” candidate.

Interview
Totally dependent on one person - CEO, one on one and personal with interviewer, dinner invite with spouse and interviewer, extreme culture of intelligent control but seemed somewhat suffocating interpersonally, met whole team but everyone defers to CEO completely, difficult to determine if fear based or respect based. Lots of Saturday work in all departments. large percentage of salary is variable pay.

Question 1
Introspective and intelligent questions but company seemed to center around only this one individual and his expectations, teamwork listening to diverse ideas seems limited
