The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vericast (Austin, TX)
Interview
-Phone screen with recruiter
-Phone screen with hiring manager
-Phone interview with superior who would not be directly managing this role.
-Phone interview with engineer who I the role would be working with directly.
-Phone interview with 2 product owners who would report to this role.
-On-site final interview with 9 individuals who would either be directly or indirectly working with the role.
Although the final decision was not to extend an offer, the team was extemely communicative and supportive throughout the entire process. The news of no offer was given by the hiring manager via a phone call and gave time to discuss the feedback from the team and reasons for the decision. Of course I wish an offer had been extended, but this is one of the best interview experiences I've had in 15 years. It sure beats being ghosted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A combination of cultural, management-style, and technical questions. This was very normal for a Product Manager position.
A recruiter scheduled time with me and few hours before the interview told me that a family member was sick so she could not talk that day and if I could speak next week. I responded with my availability next week. There was no communication after - highly unprofessional!
