I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vericast in Aug 2020
Interview
First interview 30 minutes. Then Homework assignment. Second Interview 15 minutes. Then Interview with Data Scientists.
I worked for two weeks on the homework assignment of 3 questions. The first two questions are plotting the distributions and doing t-tests. The third question has a vague question that is difficult to understand. Apparently it is burning other data scientists on the interviews. The question is about retargeting. After I split the data set into retargeted and not retargeted, and looked at the retargeted portion who actually converted, the dataset became highly (99.9 -0.01) unbalanced. I couldn't do anything with it except anomaly detection. After I submitted it, I did not hear back from them for a week or so, and I thought I was ghosted. But I wasn't.
The manager seems to be nice, but I will not be doing homework assignments again.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vericast (San Antonio, TX) in Apr 2024
Interview
A basic screening phone call with the recruiter, a get-to-know-you interview with the hiring manager, a technical interview with members of the team, and a skip-level interview. Whole process took about 2 weeks. I thought the interviews went really well, but the recruiter ended up ghosting me after all the interviews. The last interview was 3 weeks ago so I'm just assuming they won't make an offer. Unprofessional.
