I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Houston, TX) in Sep 2020
Interview
I did a video assessment and online test. I did not make it to an actual interview. The whole process seems like a complete waste of time based on pseudo science and is really impersonal.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Verizon
Interview
Received email asking for an interview. Had a pleasant phone interview with Director a few days later. The next week I was asked about availability to come in for in person interview. I gave my available dates for that week and the following week and was told by HR that they would confirm with hiring manager was available. I heard nothing for 2 weeks and then provided updated availability and was told by HR that they would again check with the hiring manager and heard nothing. One month later HR asked about availability for the following week to come in for an interview. A day or two before the interview was to happen it was cancelled.
My impression was that Verizon doesn't value people's time. I held my schedule open multiple times at their request and then didn't hear anything. The one time they actually did confirm it was cancelled.
