Interview
I have never had an interview like this ever in my life. I felt like I was interviewing to be in the Secret Service. I applied online and received an email about a month later stating that they wanted to schedule a phone interview with me. Had the phone interview the next day and it was a little intense. she asked about each job that I had worked at and the times that I had work there, why I quit those positions, and why I wanted to work at Verizon. she asked me to pick a device whether it be a phone, tablet, etc. and explain the features that I loved the most. She also ask a couple of behavioral questions. She was a woman of few words and didn't say much because I assume she was typing my answers. at the end of the interview, which took about 45 minutes, she asked to schedule me for their assessment testing.
It was a 90-minute assessment test. This was probably the most nerve wrecking part of the whole interview process because I didn't know what to expect on the assessment. there are seven parts to the assessment. I can't remember them all but they had: personality testing. Call Center questions. they had a multi tasking section. A process of elimination section. typing test. and a couple of others I can't remember. best advice: stay calm trust yourself and do it quickly because you're timed. you get the results right after you're finished.
after that I was called in for a face to face interview. they asked me in detail about my previous employment. behavioral questions. and role play. Advice: know some of the products that they sell. they give you time to think about a product or device but it looks better if you don't take the time to think about it.
I had a second face to face interview which was considerably shorter than the first. I was then giving a tour of the facility and offered a position based on meeting the 5 contingencies (the normal stuff)

Interview
im still in the early stages, but i originally applied for retail sales. the screener said that i did not qualify for the position but i did qualify for the position of customer support rep, who works along side the sales rep. still ok to me. so after a basic screening which consisted of simply reading off the material they send you in the email prior to the screening and verification of your work history and asking you to describe what features you use on your phone. then they whoosh you off to hr, to schedule a real more indepth interview. im currently at the step where im waiting for hr to schedule my interview over the phone. gosh so nervous.
