I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon in Aug 2014
Interview
I applied online and was emailed almost immediately to set up a phone interview by a member of Verizon's Talent Acquisition Team. We scheduled a time for the following week. I was asked basic questions about my job history and why I wanted to work for Verizon. I had to learn about a featured product of the month prior to the call and the company Credo. I was asked questions about that. I had to do a role play selling the feature product over the phone. At the end of the call, the recruiter recommended me to have a second phone interview with another recruiter and said I would be hearing shortly.
I received another email the next day confirming my second phone interview for a week later. This time I had to learn the SMART way of working and be prepared to discuss it on call. Again, we went over my work history and why I wanted to work at Verizon. Nothing about working SMART was discussed. The recruiter went over what the next step was in the interview process and what I should expect and passed me on to the third and final round.
I then received an email a day later from the GM at the Retail location I had applied for with a couple of dates to pick from. We settled on one and I went in for my interview. It was your basic, right from the paperwork interview, asking questions and you answering, about scenarios from your work experience, from difficult customers, to going above and beyond your job duties and so forth. Then I had to do a role play on the floor with another employee with a product. They gave me a few minutes to look the product over. I thought the interview went well. I have a lot of experience in the technology field and I had a good feeling about the process. I asked what was the time frame that he was looking to fill the position and he said immediately, but he had a couple more interviews. He would follow up with me next week. I thank him for his time and left.
I did my basic Thank You email to him for the interview and have heard nothing back. It has been four weeks. I would think a larger employer like Verizon would represent themselves a little better that this.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How did you change the mind of a customer that did not want your product at all?
Interview process was pretty straightforward. They tend to bypass a lot of the fluff and want to see how you act as a member of a team and what you are going to do when you are in a tough situation regarding numbers and meeting “quota.”

Question 1
What would you do if you saw a team member adding perks to a customers account but not disclosing what they were adding?
First time it was with a recruiter via phone, then I interviewed with the store manager via video call. A couple days later they sent me an offer, then a background check, then I was cleared to start
