I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Alexandria, VA) in Sep 2010
Interview
Hiring was conducted by a two step process. A telephone interview happened first with a screener in the HR department who asked mostly basic employment questions. Questions included inquiries about my work history, day to day operations in my current job, and giving examples of difficult customer interactions and how they were resolved. The second stage of the interview involved speaking with the hiring manager. This was a one-on-one interview with the Business Manager. The questions again, were not out of the ordinary. I was informed afterwards that the interviewer would need to consult with his own supervisor.

Question 1
What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?
I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon (Eugene, OR) in Feb 2026
Interview
Initial Interview was professional. Interviewer was candid about the roles day to day. It seemed lots of people were unaware of how much field time may have been in the job prior to applying.
A very long and tedious interview process that could be improved. Reducing the interviews to no more than 3 would benefit all parties involved. In addition, the discussions should be no longer than 30 - 45 minutes in length.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had a disgruntled customer, and how did you resolve it?
a little lengthy and follow up could be better. Would rather be told no then left up in the air as to why you weren't chosen. However if you are chosen they move rather quickly
