I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Southaven, MS) in Aug 2015
Interview
The process is tedious and tiring. After finishing all the pre-screen testing. You are contacted by a Verizon recruiter with an hour phone interview. You'll pass onto the next step with their Manager for a face to face interview. Answer all questions honestly and with confidence. Be polite and kind during the interview, skill sets in IT department needed with this company. Having access in the career portal during the interviews, I've seen managers just stop being professional and courteous to qualified candidates and abruptly end the interview with opening the door without saying "Bon Voyage!" I've seen management talk about potential candidates for employment to the current employees like they are pieces of meat. The interview process with Verizon nationally may not be the same as it is in this location, but locally this is how you are treated. I would HIGHLY recommend applying to a different company.
Interviewer was surprisingly extremely rude and not flexible. I was excited for the interview but the hr rep clearly had preconceived attitudes. The gentleman definitely didn’t enjoy his job. The job itself seemed pretty straight forward

Interview
The questions were straightforward; they were basic interview questions and required basic skills and knowledge. I thought it was simple compared to various other interviews. I highly recommend for the future if someone is given a job or interview offer
