Brief phone call to setup the interview at their office. Once I arrived I noticed that the office was rather Spartan, and there was no real waiting area. I had two interviews, the first one was with a sales manager who did not really interview me, but tried to "sell" me on being part of their sales team. One rather disturbing fact that I uncovered is that this business model will be eventually phased out by the end of 2014 due to federal law, and the "growth" will disappear. The second interview was with the owner. The owner kept asking, "tell me why I liked your resume?", over and over. After a few minutes of, "tell me....?", he started telling me about compensation and bonus opportunities. The base was very low, and it was evident that there would be no negotiation; needless to say, I immediately decided that this was not a "career" and mentally checked out of the interview process.
