I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vertex (United, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
Asked basic interview questions in the first round and they wanted to see how I would fit in within the company which I really liked. Very personable and wanted to get to know me. Also interview cordination was great!
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vertex (Nashville, TN) in Jun 2025
Interview
Was slow and long, but not super difficult and mostly conversational. Got to the final round interview with the HM's boss, but did not receive an offer. 4 rounds total. Most questions just focused on experience and the position.

Question 1
How do you balance working on multiple projects with different deadlines and priorities?
I decided to remove myself as a candidate for the position following the Recruiter call as the scheduling process was disorganized and the Recruiter couldn't have seemed more 1) disinterested in my candidacy and 2) uninformed regarding both the position and the company,
Initially, I was asked if I was available for the phone screening portion with the Recruiter at a specific date and time. I promptly confirmed and received no further emails or a phone call, leaving me confused. I then received an email the Sunday after our scheduled time asking me for more availability.
During the phone screening, the Recruiter couldn't answer simple questions related to the position itself, nor could she answer what the holistic company goals or values were. The only question she could give an answer to was about company culture, where she gave the standard "work hard, play hard" response. She also showed zero interest in my answers to questions.
I removed myself after not hearing back for several weeks, seeing as I had been told that I'd know next steps within three business days. Too many red flags for me!
