I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Vertica (Cambridge, MA) in Nov 2014
Interview
Phone screening was a nice chat with very few technical questions. On-site interview was laid back and most of the time was spend in chatting about my background and the company's plans and vision, although I had one meeting with technical / coding questions. I was convinced that they would be a very nice company to work for. I declined the offer only because I got a better offer from another company with similarly good fit for me.
The interviews were a System design interview And a discussion about the Vertica architecture. They also gave a take home assignment. Overall very positive interview and very interesting interview topics
