Everyone I spoke to was very nice and seemed passionate about the company. Hearing how much everyone loved it, and receiving consistent positive feedback during and after my 7 interviews, made me really excited.
However, I was ultimately not offered the role.
It is really disheartening to go through a 7 round interview process over the course of 2 months (including an interview with the CEO) only to receive a rejection in the end. The reason for my rejection was not having a certain skill they required, despite repeated reassurances that they weren't worried about my weaknesses and were confident in my other abilities. Even after discussing my weaknesses in interview 5, I was still pushed through to 2 more rounds. My advice to the company is that if you know you don't want to hire someone because of a certain weakness, just cut them loose and save everyone the trouble. Between interviews and prep time, I invested a good 12 hours into this process.
I have never heard of any company having such a vigorous interview process for an entry level role. The other reviews weren't lying - they really will string you along for as long as they can. Be wary of getting your hopes up or investing too much time.
The day after I received my rejection email, I saw they had reposted the same position. Months later, the position is still up on the website. So they either don’t know what they’re looking for or they’re looking for the perfect candidate.
