Via Transportation Driver interview questions

short and the interview was more like an orientation. once your called for the interview your pretty much hired as a 1099 contract driver. During this interview they will ask you basic questions about yourself and afterwards make you watch videos about the company history, policy and ect.

There was no interview, I just signed an independent contractor agreement and consent for background check and drug test. Then once I consented to the background check on 8/8 and received an email from the company performing the check stating there was adverse information on my background check and they were notifying Via. Then 6 days later on 8/14 I received a text from Via with info about the drug test and where I could go to take it and also that Hyre Car rentals would be contacting me very soon to help me to rent a car so I could be on my way to driving for them. Finally, in that same text they wanted to me to attend an information session virtually and would be sending me the paperwork within the next week. I thought from this email that I was officially hired. I honestly didn't think it was going to be an issue since I was hired by Uber and Postmates with that same adverse information on my background check. During the next 2 weeks I was very busy taking care of my elderly mom along with helping my son with a very important school project that I didn't really worry about the Via job because I honestly thought everything was a go and I will just wait for the paperwork to be sent. Then yesterday I received an email from Via Transportation stating that based on the adverse information on my background check they were unable to offer me employment.
