      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Rockford, IL) in Apr 2014

      Interview

My first interview was a phone interview with a back-of-the-house person. My second interview was in person with the direct selling manager that I would report to. My third and final interview was with the store manager and supervisor.

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Charleston, SC) in Apr 2015

      Interview

I knew an employee who told me that they were desperate to hire because her store was severely understaffed (there are 4 stores in our city). So I printed and filled out the application and dropped the application off in person so that I could introduce myself to the store manager. She reviewed it on the spot and asked me to come in for an interview the following day, which I did. I dressed business casual (navy blue portofino dress from Express with nude flats) and brought a copy of my resume. The office and back stock area were covered in shipment and there was physically no room for us to do the interview so we sat in the window at the front of the store. I had already had retail and managerial experience and I had an employee referral so my interview lasted five minutes and the manager honestly just told me what would be expected of me if I accepted the job. I worked there for a year and am including what I know they ask candidates during interviews. As for pay, my friend had been working at VS for almost a year and was making $8.25 an hour. At my interview, I asked for $11 and received $10 (NOTE: this was before all employees started at a base pay of $10). The worst they can do is say no when you ask for a certain amount. But I know a contributing factor to VS paying me more than other employees was that I was being paid $12 at the job that I ended up leaving for VS.
