I applied in-person. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Pleasanton, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
I applied in person and heard from the hiring manager a week later. The interview was a group interview with including myself and four other girls. They first asked us to give them a little information about us (school, past jobs, hobbies, etc.). Then, the hiring manager got into more serious questions (listed below). I was only given one interview and was told I would hear from them by the upcoming weekend if I was hired via phone call and if not, they would mail out a letter to me. It took a little longer than that, but I was offered the job a week after my first interview with them. This was my first job.
It was a group interview with about 25 people in the room. If you had an answer to any questions you had to raise your hand to answer while managers watched. Then they had individual interviews if you did well in the group interviews.
Interview was a three step process, first phone call, group interview, and then one on one. Pretty easy. Very nice team. The main focus is how good of a personality you have.

One of the questions was how I could measure a customer, find their correct size and build their basket.
Online application and one in person interview at the store. Overall very friendly. Worked there for the seasonal position and got placed to be there permanently after the holidays. No retail experience required just want availability.
