Before handing in my application, I called the store to ask if they were hiring. They said they were and I dropped off my application to a manager. Maybe in about four days they called me back to schedule an interview with me eight days later. It was a group interview and everyone was smart enough to dress all in black. The hiring manager took us to the food court of the mall and we sat at a table where she proceeded to ask questions from a pamphlet-styled list. To make the interview more natural, anyone was free to talk and the next girl would add on. The questions asked were: What do you see in front of the store? What would you do if you're at the cashier and the line gets too long? How would you handle two customers? Why VS? Tell me your last bra purchase. After the questions, the hiring manager gave back our applications to make sure everything was in check and explained to us that they must have two references checked out out of the three you had to put down on the application. In the end, I asked how long it would take to get back to us if they wanted to hire us and she said a week. A week passed and I had not heard from them so I went to follow up. Neither of the hiring or store manager was in so I spoke with another manager and she told me they were calling references the day before and if I did not hear back on Tuesday and Wednesday (it was Friday), then it would mean I did not get the job. I went back on Wednesday and asked a sales associate if the store manager was in and she said she was in the back doing something so she had me speak to the same manager I spoke to last and I was informed that they would of called back by now. I feel like I should have gotten the chance to speak with the store manager during my last visit if she was in the store even if she was in the back. It says the people there are willing to go above and beyond to listen to your needs.
