I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Louisville, KY) in Sep 2013
Interview
At the time that I applied, they were not hiring! I applied in July 2013, and didn't receive a callback until late September of 2013. Upon returning their call, I was scheduled for an interview for the following day. Just in case the manager doesn't tell you, usually ALL Victoria's Secret interviews, are group interviews. My interview included 3 other girls. And it is a great idea to dress in all black; since that is the company's overall dress code in the store. My interview was very laid back, and casual. It was held at a table in my mall's food court (right next to Victoria's Secret.)
The interviewer started off by introducing herself, and then explained what she was looking for in terms of the job position, and what kind of candidate she was wanting. She than began asking a question at a time, and she read all questions from a guide. We'd go around the circle, and each candidate would answer the question. To be fair, she never called on the same person to answer first each time. There were a total of about 6 questions. Then she went over availability; which keep in mind . . you get extra points for having open availability!
I had a group interview with two other girls. It took about 30 minutes for the interview portion. It was mostly in depth customer service and tell me about a time questions

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret
Interview
The interview was done as a group and was pretty casual. The hiring manager asked a mix of situational and behavioural questions, about 3-4. For me personally as I was hired during a seasonal period, having an open availability seemed to be key

Question 1
Tell me about yourself, why do you want to work for VS, can you recall a situation, tell me about a time when you dealt with a difficult customer and how did you handle it
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
