I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Raleigh, NC) in May 2011
Interview
I applied in person once I found out that Victoria's Secret was hiring. The manager on duty took my application skimmed it quickly and had me sign up for an interview. My first interview went smoothly, there were four of us being interviewed by the Store Manager, she was very friendly and inviting. This was a very informal interview the Manager asked questions and we answered. She signed all four of us up for our second interview together.
At the second interview it was the other manager who had taken my application. She was very friendly and very straight-forward about what she was hiring people for. She only asked us two simple questions just like the interview before and then asked us if we had any questions for her. She said we should hear from her by the weekend. I know they were still doing reference checks Saturday. Today is Monday and I have yet to hear from them but since it is Memorial Day weekend I am sure they were just busy in the store and the manager had not yet had enough time to go through all the reference checks.
I had a group interview with two other girls. It took about 30 minutes for the interview portion. It was mostly in depth customer service and tell me about a time questions

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret
Interview
The interview was done as a group and was pretty casual. The hiring manager asked a mix of situational and behavioural questions, about 3-4. For me personally as I was hired during a seasonal period, having an open availability seemed to be key
