Several rounds of interviews. Spoke to seven people at various levels in the organization. All but one seem to have little to no interview experience. Zero structure to the interviews and most were utterly unprepared. Several interviewers had just one or two very basic questions prepared. The person coordinating the interviews was also quite unprofessional, demanding immediate responses to emails. Also, after sticking with them throughout this long process, they let me know via an automated email from their ATS vs picking up the phone/sending a personal note. It's said that a company's hiring process is a window into its culture and unfortunately that seems to be true at VIR. This org has experienced a lot of growth in a short time so it's possible they're playing catch up to manage processes such as interviewing but overall a very unprofessional experience.
