8 person, in person panel interview - (4 sessions with different people in each session; interview length was approx 3 hours)
** Note - Due to the position being non exempt and "entry level", I felt that having to make a physical relocation for the job and the fact that I was asked about how I would do in a training situation as a trainer, I was left with a bit of the impression that although I have a very strong background in all aspects of Supply Chain, that being questioned about training when I was interviewing for an entry level, non exempt position, was a bit "weak". Their company is responsible for training their employees on their use of their software (Oracle) and I was a bit taken aback when I was asked about my ability to train folks. Yes, I can train folks, however, for me to be interviewing for an entry level, non exempt position left me to ponder whether the company invests in training for it's employees or if they were hoping that I might be able to help teach them something about the type of ERP system that they run. If I were a consultant or interviewing for a higher level position (not one where I might be asked to help train higher level folks on the software that they use if I were hired as an entry level, non exempt position), I might have had a little more of a warm fuzzy about it all. In the end, I notified HR that I was really looking for a position in a higher pay grade to match my background and they had already decided to hire someone else, so it was a win-win.
