Beware! If you're opposed to going through a very lengthy interview process you should definitely steer clear from this job, I honestly wish I had done that sooner. Here's what the interview process looks like: You apply for the job, if they "like" you they'll email you to schedule a time to go over the role. Then once again if they "like" you and you meet the minimum qualifications they'll send you a take home assignment. That should've been a red flag all together considering this is a very basic entry level position, anything that you want to ask can be done at the interview. Nonetheless, once take home assignment is submitted and they like what you've wrote they'll have you meet the team over zoom. You meet all these different people and if they like you they'll want you to meet the senior director. All in all, I feel like I was strung along throughout the entire process. I got to the final round interview and afterwards they sent me an email saying they were going with another candidate.
These people knew what experience I had currently, they knew what systems I worked with at my current job- if they were ultimately just going to hire someone that had more years of experience or someone who knew how to use their Greenhouse ATS system- why string me along having me go through all of these interviews. Why not just specify that those qualifications are required in the job posting? It would've saved me a hell of a lot time that I wasted that I can never get back. I guess you can say it all makes sense considering they're almost at the end stages of a start up company.. A candidate's time is just as valuable as the interviewers, and yet I had to go through this whole entire intensive process for a decision that they probably already made up before they met me. Please fix your interviewing processes and please do better.
Btw, there's a reason why they don't mention anything about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion because there's absolutely nothing diverse about that team. You'll see why. If after reading all of this and it still wasn't enough for you to turn the other way, good luck!
