I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Virta (Denver, CO) in Apr 2023
Interview
Met with the recruiter and the screening questions were quick and easy. Scheduled with the manager and encountered a scheduling miscommunication. Mistakes happened and overcame this. Met the manager and felt a subtle condescending tone to the interview. Their interest quickly dropped off towards the last half of the interview as it was rushed. The interviewer lack professionalism, and I felt disrespected. Despite my personal feelings, expect to "go above and beyond" for this role. The individual who previously left this role must have provoked the manager because their aggression came through the interview.

Question 1
Share a time where you made a mistake that affected operations "downstream" and how you addressed it
I recently applied and got the dreaded “after careful consideration….” email. That being said, when I say “recently applied” I mean like within the last 15 minutes. The recruiting team absolutely did not look over my resume and did not “carefully consider”. If they did, they would have noticed my background certainly does align. Overall, my initial poor encounter with recruiting and after reading these reviews, it seems I dodged a bullet!
