Initial phone screening with a recruiter, which was very basic (overview of the position, hiring timeline, benefits, pay). Then I had a follow-up call with the hiring manager to ask about my work background and ask them questions. From there a recruiter contacted me to set up a Zoom interview with the hiring manager and two other employees, where I spent 30 minutes chatting with each person. Each brought specific questions - one seemed to be on work experience and how I’ve handled issues in the past/specific contributions to past companies, another was more critical thinking and problem solving by giving me hypothetical scenarios, and the last focused more on interpersonal skills, work style and expectations. Each person was gracious, funny, humble, yet focused and committed to finding the best fit for their right-knit team. These interviews sold me on the company, where I was incredibly skeptical and not sure I was really all that interested before but thought I’d give it a chance and feel it out. It was an hour and a half, but didn’t feel like I was getting grilled and the time flew. It was a great experience!
