      Customer Service Representative Interview

      Apr 29, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Visual Comfort & Co.

      Interview

Judgmental and condescending with no path or structure to interview. Very wishy washy and the 2 interviewers did not seem to be on the same page. One was clearly not a fan but the other continued with more questions and it did not feel comfortable at all.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How have you dealt with difficult customers before?

      Customer Service Representative Interview

      Nov 23, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Visual Comfort & Co. (Houston, TX) in Nov 2024

      Interview

3 round interview process: - video interview with the talent acquisition specialist - video interview with the director of customer service - in-person interview with the director of training ( I never made it to this round) Interviewers were nice, asked standard questions, and they acted very quickly after each step, so I felt that the process wasn’t being drug out. Pros: quick process, virtual interview with real people Cons: the second interviewer (director of customer service) did not bother to show her face on camera although I was visible. Why not just call instead of setting up a virtual interview? With that, I left the interview with a different opinion on the company. Later, I received an email that they had gone with another candidate. Overall it worked out. An offer was not made

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Standard behavioral questions. Have you ever had personality differences with anyone you work with and how did you handle it?

      Customer Service Representative Interview

      Feb 13, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Houston, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Visual Comfort & Co. (Houston, TX) in Feb 2018

      Interview

I put my resume on Monster and was then contacted by a recruiter who I met with. She expplained the company a little and then set up the first interview with the Director of Customer Service. We had a great interview. He asked lots of standard interview questions and we spoke for over an hour. Then, I went back the following week for the paid experimental day in which I sat with various employees. I was supposed to meet with four people for interviews, but two were gone, so I went back later in the week to meet with those people. All together, you meet three higher ups in customer service, an HR person, and the pesident of the company, as well as do the experimental day. It's definitely a process, but the people are very friendly and professional.
