I haven't received an offer (yet🤞), but after my first interview I thought it would be valuable to give some feedback that's untainted by offer extension. When I found this position on Indeed, I thought it sounded too good to be true, but I applied any way. I was contacted within 3 days for a very simple phone interview. The rep, Meredyth, was super friendly and really warm. The way she described the company made it seem too good to be true, so much so that I just asked outright "Is this some sort of MLM or scheme", she was taken aback but then asked me what made me ask. That part is important, I think, as it shows that even as a recruiter, she's looking for ways to improve the process. She scheduled me for an "in-person meeting"...I was skeptical and poopooed it a little. I've done group interviews and they are terrible. This was not that. Applicants all had the opportunity to ask questions and tour the office, a lot like a job fair kind of. But for someone who was skeptical about the company, this put me at ease. At this point I'm like "there has to be something more nefarious going on here", because the culture was so inviting, there were dogs EVERYWHERE, and people were....like...happy. So I decided to go to a legit interview, which was this morning. I came in and didn't see anywhere to check in so I just kind of wandered around the entrance. A guy came out and asked if I needed help and said his name was Kirk (the COO...that Kirk), so when I had that realization I was happy I didn't have a chance to let my nerves catch up to me. He sat me down in the CEO's office...seriously. (incidentally, the CEO has a wood project of Pearl Jam's set list from the Gorge in '05....sick!). Then another guy came in and said "Hi I'm Jeremiah"...like...the CEO. This company is just THAT approachable...how awesome. Any way, my interviewer finally came in and led me to the interviewing office...There were a few Project Planners who just asked some questions to get to know me. I was super nervous at first but they put me at ease. SO friendly and welcoming, no tricky questions or anything; this company GENUINELY cares about the "why". I am very excited to get an offer for the job! Overall the experience is legitimately unbelievable. At this point in the process they asked me to watch a Simon Sinek video that I've seen many times and write a letter saying why I think I'm fit for the position...that's fair, and follow's Sinek's Start With Why mentality showing that they think a lot more insightfully about hiring and beginning such an important relationship. Overall I'll say as someone who is still an outsider to the company: this place is legit. I've had a hard time finding ANY negative reviews and the couple I found were obviously butthurt for some reason and had an agenda. Really hoping I get an offer or another interview, I didn't think companies like this even existed anymore. Jeremiah is the bomb and I barely know the guy.
