Multi part interview.
First with the recruiter - typical screener, but very much level set.
Second was on Teams with the Hiring Manager. 30 minutes, conversational.
Third was on Teams with the peer group. 45 minutes. Conversational, but more in-depth with technical expertise questions.
Fourth was on Teams with the peer of the hiring manager. Conversational, semi technical, talked about growth of the business.
Final was with another peer to the hiring position, very conversational.
I was told by the hiring manager that they would make a decision within the next 10 days. The entire interview process took two weeks from start to finish after the recruiter screener, and 7 days after the initial hiring manager interview.
I followed up with the recruiter at the end of the process, as requested, again a week later, an again a week after that. The recruiter was very responsive but had no information, basically saying "I haven't heard from the hiring manager."
A week after my last contact, I received a follow up email from the recruiter, who informed me they decided to revisit the job description, because they weren't sure they were on the right page with what they were looking for, and that they would not be considering me further.
Recruiter was very responsive throughout and was a real bright spot on the overall negative experience.
