Question 1
Mostly technical questions related to your work experience and presentation given. Questions are straight and to the point. They need person with good presentation skills. Classical stat and machine learning problems.

Interview
Prepared by brushing up on SAS, machine learning, coding a project custom for their team, and writing a slide deck. Flew in to Chicago. The recruiter messed up my hotel reservations and I had to pay for my room out of pocket. I had to scramble to get the money - stressful. I spent the night prepping for my presentation. Next day, met with VP. Went fine. Met with Data scientists for panel interview. They were 15 minutes late and a no show. They ask me only math questions for an hour. I answer most of them fine but miss the last question. I hear them laughing as they leave the room. I'm giving a presentation with the VP and one of the data scientists is completely disengaged from what I'm saying - discouraging. Recruiter disengaged at this point and unhelpful in getting my reimbursement for my room. Get an email from one of the data scientists recommending I brush up on my math. Thank you so much, I'll get right on that!

Question 1
Technical questions regarding machine learning algos. Describe how the RF algorithm functions? SVM? Can you talk to me about the bias-variance trade-off? How does RF handle the bias-variance tradeoff? What is a p-value? what is a z-score? Can you interpret the coefficient from a logit model (coefficient value is provided for you)? Interpret the Odds Ratio of this coefficient given the binary response.
How do the betas get computed using OLS? How about for logistic regression?
What is the difference between PCA and FA?
Walk us through some of the model building projects you have worked on?
