Initial screening with the recruiter was followed up with a conversation with the hiring manager. Following the call with the manager, the recruiter stated that she would follow up with next steps by the end of the week. She never followed up despite my two emails checking in with the status of my application. I received absolutely no communication and ultimately found out where I stood when I checked the portal and saw a “rejected” status 6 weeks after my call with the recruiter. I had chalked up the lack of communication to a high volume of applications, so I applied to another role (Analyst) a few months later. I had made it to the final round and again, the recruiter let me know she will give me more information regarding next steps and a potential offer. Ghosted again. The same recruiter has shown a repeated pattern of ghosting candidates well into the process without any consideration to how this impacts the applicants in the middle of a job search. My advice: do not apply here unless you like getting left with no answers as to where your candidacy for the role stands.
