I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Voleon (Berkeley, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Initially contacted by the hiring manager. Agreed to set time and date (late afternoon mid week). Day of call, manager was 10 min late to call. Understandable, but rude.
1st round call went fine. Was told at end that process had just started and would be contacted for a second round. 4 weeks go by and no response. Then email from same hiring manager letting me know they would like me for a second interview and what my availability is. Another week goes by, no contact. Email manager to give update to my schedule. Tells me they are finalizing and thanks for being patient. Manager then books me for a day I had a conflict on. Rescheduled without issue.
2nd interview was dropped by HR rep by email before it happened, the role was "filled late last night"
THIS FIRM HAS NO CLUE WHAT TO DO WHEN IT COMES TO HIRING. DO NOT GO TO WORK HERE. If the firm cannot conduct a professional hiring period, I highly doubt they conduct themselves professionally in other parts of the business. Conduct is led from the top; if you want to play with the big boys on the Street, you need to act like the Street. Let this serve as warning to others who are interested in this firm.

Question 1
What was your greatest challenging professional project to date?
Submitted an online application then a week someone reached out for a round 1 interview. Questions were pretty straightforward and person interviewing me was super nice but make sure to know about the industry
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Voleon (Berkeley, CA) in Dec 2023
Interview
It was long and tedious with 6 rounds. Made it to Round 5 and got cut off when they asked about GPA. They really care about that. Overall I'd say you're interviewing with a white people company, it was okay.
Several rounds of interviews with people of increasing seniority. One of the rounds involved a take home portion that you then discuss with a current employee. Final round is five back to back interviews with people from various teams.
