I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Voleon (Berkeley, CA) in Jul 2018
Interview
In a nutshell: Extremely thorough, well structured and efficient.
I had many rounds of interviews with all relevant stakeholders, including senior management (and still, the whole process only took 2.5 weeks). The interview questions were very well structured and meaningful. I feel like the company had a very good read on my expected performance and I had a very good read on how it would be like to work there.

Question 1
How would you structure a given strategic problem? How would you collect data? How would you come to a conclusion? [can't mention the actual problem for confidentiality reasons]
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Voleon (Berkeley, CA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Phone Screen with junior member of the team, written exercise (took 2-3 hours), in-person 3-hour interview with two people in the same role, then 4 1-hour interviews with the C-suite. I had to come in 5 times over 2 weeks to move forward. The company was eager to move very fast, and I had a ton of positive interactions until I had to interview with the CEO at 4.00pm on a Friday. He made clear he had asked a prior (technical) candidate to stay in-office and wanted to return to that interview ASAP. I was set up to fail, as he frequently checked his watch and seemed wildly disinterested in what I could do for the team and eager to get back to the technical candidate. I am disappointed the very junior (8 months out of college) staff member with no recruiting experience who was scheduling interviews had not been coached to create buffer between interviews and schedule interviews for times of day when the CEO was more able to engage with interviewing rather than be concerned with jamming in too many interviews or wrapping up his week. This staff member should also try to find times when candidates could come in for half a day vs. many days in a row. Running into other candidates in the lobby, it seemed the norm that everyone was having to come in repeatedly to finish interviews. Not a great applicant experience. I performed extremely well on every exercise - verbal and written - and clearly have the experience to add significant value to the team, but was not given any opportunity to demonstrate this to the CEO who has the final yes/no. It should never be like that.
