The interview experience is terrible. I applied on Voleon's website. Recruiter had a first round call with me. Then I had the screening scheduled with one of the member of technical staff. In the interview, there were, surprisingly, two interviewers, the one who was scheduled to interview me arrives 5 mins late and did not open his camera. Another interviewer interviewed me. The interview has a bunch of geometry questions that are not relevant to quant research, and those questions are not reasonable ones to evaluate candidate's stats, ml, and data skills. The interviewers gave no hints, almost no interactions. Moreover, interviewers also have strong accent. It is hard to understand what the interviewers are talking about. I agree with other reviews here that, Voleon's interview is not like solving a problem together to test candidate's reasonining and knowledge, but rather expect you to remember som random things. I also agree with other reviews here that these so-called "open-ended" questions are just meant to grill you. In sum, I think this company's interview questions are meaningless, and the interview experience is terrible.
