Assistant Principal interview took about 15 minutes. I actually work for the Volusia County School system in another position, but I thought this might be helpful information for an interviewee. Do not expect anyone to read you resume before your interview. I interviewd about 12 times before I got my current position and when they ask to "tell me a little information about yourself" it is because they are clueless! I found out by bringing a copy of my resume and references with me and asking the interviewer if they had received it. Nope, never seen it. Oh it is in their email alright and on the Human Resources application page, but no one will open it to see it. Weird huh? Say what? Anyway, it may be different if you are a teacher, but if not, have a speech ready because this it what they want. Overall, be prepared to be disappointed with the process. I think it is becasue the turnover here is so high. Who knows? Almost as disppointing as an "AWB" interview.(Any warm body)
Oh and another thing, this position is usually given only to coaches and everyone at the school knows this, but they let you interview anyway. But if you are not an employee, you do not know this and no one will tell you even if you call ahead.
