I was contacted by email for an onsite interview. No phone calls prior to the onsite interview. I was required to show my COVID vaccination card, which was not told to me prior. I luckily had my card with me.
The onsite interview was a panel interview. Standard STAR format with the same questions asked to all candidates.
I received a verbal offer but the person delivering the offer was unclear on the benefits of the position. She first said it was union, with 40 hours of PTO to start. I called her back, questioning this, as the position was posted as needing 7+ years of experience. She then said it had 29 days of PTO. The salary was still well below what I was looking for, so I asked her questions on that and she was to follow up with her team.
I never heard back. I left two voicemails over a week. I then reached out to another contact, then I finally heard back. She still couldn't tell me if it was union or not and again said that this position was entry level. This was for an office position with 7+ years experience.
I declined the offer mostly based on low salary but also because I couldn't get clear information on the role or benefits.
