Started with a phone screen and the basic "tell me about yourself" and included some questions about my experience related to the job requirements. Received an email stating I had made it to the top three candidates requesting an in person interview and a facility tour. When I arrived, I sat down with HR who asked me about my previous experience, why I was leaving my previous job, etc and chatted about some logistical things, salary expectations, when I was looking to start. Afterwards I was introduced to the head of the department who took me on a tour of the manufacturing facility and told me about himself and what they do on a daily basis. He introduced me to the other member of the department and I got to chat and ask him questions for a bit then we sat back in the department head's office and he asked me some more specific questions about my experience and knowledge of Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc and if had experience in technical writing and leading Continuous Improvement workshops. Overall the conversation was fairly informal and I was there for about 2 and a half hours. I was the second of the three candidates to be there for the in person interview and so he told me after the next person they would discuss and decide who they wanted to move forward with by the next week. They chose a different candidate but gave me a courtesy call to let me know and wished me luck on my job search. If chosen, I was told there would have been one more interview that would be a sit-down with the GM of the plant which would just be a formality at that point.
