The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at W. L. Gore & Associates in Jan 2012
Interview
Interview was set up through my college's career services program.
Interview was with 3 engineers. Almost all questions were technical.
The first question was "Tell us something that's not on your resume." This, and along with some of the initial technical questions, threw me off at the beginning.
Bottom line: How the interview goes is based on how well you answer your questions. The better your answers, the deeper they dig into the subject matter. It all seems very intimidating. If you try your best not to get frazzled, it ends up being a positive experience.

Question 1
Tell us something that's not listed on your resume.
I applied online. I interviewed at W. L. Gore & Associates
Interview
Applied through job board. Received a response about 2 months later. Very nice and conversational panel interview with two leaders on related teams. They made an effort to make the interview comfortable. Didn't even have to introduce myself, just jumped right into walking through projects. They asked a series of questions about my projects. I could tell they had really read my resume and were prepared to talk to me specifically, which I appreciated.
