      Account Executive Interview

      Jun 13, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Southfield, MI
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WWEX Group (Southfield, MI) in May 2014

      Interview

The interview process was longer than most. It started off with a 1 on 1 who later on would be my Sales Manager. The first initial interview was cool, laid back, not your typical 'cookie cutter' interview. Which, for me was awesome. The person interviewing me was a college grad from my college and he just related. Second interview (field ride) was with one of the top reps. You get to spend time getting to see what he does, but basically I felt the point of that field ride was just to learn more about me. Third interview was with the VP of sales at Corporate and then the final interview was with who I had my first Interview with. I was able to go out in the field, talk a little bit with him and then was brought back and offered the position. I'm currently still with the company and things have changed over the last 2 years (better) the interview process is a little shorter and I cant tell you exactly how it goes, but I think it's more flexible and changes per candidate I can tell you, It's an awesome company and more and more good things to come.

      Application

I interviewed at WWEX Group (Houston, TX)

      Interview

The interview was pretty easy, the recruiter Wanted to know more about who I was as a person versus the generic skill set and education I have. I feel like the recruiter and I hit it off very well and I’m excited to talk to him again.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at WWEX Group (Troy, MI) in May 2026

      Interview

Pros: The recruiter was responsive and accommodating during the scheduling process. The hiring manager was personable and transparent about the role's expectations. Cons: The virtual interview lasted approximately 22 minutes. The hiring manager spent the majority of the time discussing his own background and company history, leaving me little opportunity to present my qualifications. I have enterprise B2B sales experience with over $3M in annual revenue — none of that was explored. At the end of the interview I was specifically instructed to contact the recruiter that same day to express my interest. I reached out multiple times via LinkedIn and email. She did not respond until the following day with a generic rejection and no specific feedback — despite being the one who directed me to call her. Advice to Management: If you tell a candidate to follow up same day, honor that commitment. Candidates invest real time and energy into your process. The lack of follow through after an already brief interview is unprofessional and disrespectful. I would encourage candidates — particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds — to review this company's diversity ratings on Glassdoor before investing their time. The data is worth reading carefully.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I gave a concise overview of my enterprise B2B sales background including generating over $3M in annual revenue selling LinkedIn solutions to Fortune 500 accounts. Before I could expand further the hiring manager redirected the conversation entirely to his own background and company history. He dominated the remainder of the 22 minute interview leaving me no real opportunity to sell my qualifications or demonstrate fit for the role.

      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at WWEX Group (Miami, FL)

      Interview

The WWEX recruiter reached our to me on linkedin and was very nice. She set up the first in persob meeting with the manager, but told me there was no parkibg. Expect to spend $25 to park and not get reimburse. I get moved on to the second and meet with a manager who wouldnt go on camera, sounded like he was driving and had the attitude that he was a frat bro. Huge red flag, had a 5 minute conversation where i was hust asked ti go through my resume for the 3rd time. Was asked to move on, but then got an email saying i wouldnt be with no explanation. Save your time.
