Applied online through WakeMed website, contacted by phone 3 days later to schedule an interview with Nurse Manager. The interview was scheduled for the following Monday at my request. The nurse manager was out of the office, so I met with one of the Nurse Supervisors. The face-to-face interview took about 2 hours, including a unit tour and a short shadow opportunity with a current staff member in a similar role. I was given a clear expectation of what to expect from HR and a good idea of what to expect if an offer was made. 7 days after the interview, an HR representative called me to extend the verbal offer and explain the onboarding process.
