Interview with the recruiter was great, I felt very comfortable sharing my experience. I was asked to take a behavioral test before the next interview which I thought was a bit odd, and a little elementary, felt like a yellow flag. When I got to the hiring manager interview, I was unexpectedly met with two different people rather than who I was told I would be meeting with- red flag #1. But no big deal as I am used to working in an agile environment. The interview went decently, I did not feel as though the interviewers were really knowledgeable in what they were looking for and didn’t seem particularly excited. It seemed like a great fluid conversation for the hour that we talked and they were willing to go over time with me, unfortunately I had scheduled this time around other obligations and wasn’t able to spend but 10 minutes beyond the allotted hour, and kindly let them know that I didn’t want to take too much time. The person who described would be my manager (instead of who was supposed to interview me) didn’t seem very tech savvy and I got the sense that they really were a bit disorganized in how the approach would relate to their ultimate quarterly goals.
Afterward, the recruiter asked me to follow up to talk through how it went, although I wasn’t able to get ahold of her as she was ooo that day. After sending an email and getting a follow up the following week, they left me hanging for another week and forgot to tell me they’d moved on. Red flag 2
Overall, I hope they find a good fit but I wasn’t impressed with the process.
