I recently got interviewed at Walmart Global Tech India. After clearing all 4 rounds of interview I was asked to wait for a week of time to get the offer. When I called the HR she told me I will get an update shortly about the offer since it's on approval stage. After 2 days HR comes back telling that the position has been closed. The entire process took 2 weeks and she comes back on the day offer letter is to be released. Was the team/HR not aware of the process or new updates? Were they not aware of process and guidelines to be followed while interviewing a candidate? If there were no open positions why was i even approached for the opportunity? Is there no transparency between the HR and management? What kind of process does this organization follow? Is this what we expect from the fortune number 1 company? Is this how a candidate is supposed to be? How is it fair to make a candidate wait for 2 weeks and then say position is filled up without any justification or clarification? The entire experience was a big disappointment and i hope no company treats its candidates like this.
