I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Walmart in Sep 2009
Interview
Applied for cashier job. Few days later was called for 1st interview which was done by an associate who basically asked a few pre determined questions, and had me fill out all the papers for background checks and stuff. Had second interview on the spot with a department manager (often have to come back for that one. Few days later was called to interview with the store manager who offered me overnight stocker position. DId that interview at 8:30 am and started the ALL day orientation at 9AM. Began working the next night.
the interview process was straight forward..basic questions about scenarios, what i bring to the table. Overall, the questions were HR like questions that try to gauge your experience, skillset and willingness to learn.
Interviewer was a nice person. It was not very challenging or stressful to get through the interview. I felt confident in my interview that I would be considered for the job.
Easy to accomplish and not very difficult. Seemed if you used common sense you’ll be okay. Just be yourself and go in there prepared. Good luck! I didn’t get an offer but I was fine with that.
