I applied online and received a call later that day asking me to come into an interview tomorrow. The interview itself was great. I sat down with the Team Lead of the position I was applying for and a Coach and they just talked to me about their experiences at Walmart, what the job was like and they were very open with me about the position. I was offered the job later that day and initially went through the process of accepting the offer. However, the background check process online was incredibly glitchy and took several hours to complete despite being rather straightforward which was frustrating. Then even after my background check was sent to Walmart my orientation was still marked as pending for many days despite the Team Lead wanting me to start soon. I ended up accepting another job offer that I could actually start immediately and taking back my acceptance of the Walmart position. I felt bad about it because the Team Lead seemed great and clearly needed the help and the job itself sounded like a perfect fit for me, but I needed to start a job immediately and I had no idea how long Walmart would take to actually get me working. The interview, again, was excellent but Walmart's hiring process was too slow and unnecessarily frustrating.
