I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Wilmington, NC) in Oct 2024
Interview
The application process was more thorough than I expected, but felt like I was able to get my personality and positive character traits throughout it. The actual interview was not scheduled due to internet problems on their side, so I went in-person same day to ask if there was something on my end I could do. Once I was there, they held an immediate impromptu interview.
They primarily asked questions to make sure you were reliable, availability open for 12 hours each day, and that you can adapt to rapid changes. Super friendly workers, only about 20-30 minutes for my very sudden interview.

Question 1
Why do you want to work this specific role at Walmart?
Walmart needs to do a much better job when it comes to responding to job applications and keeping applicants updated. I applied to every Walmart in my city, and not one of them followed up with me about an interview or even let me know if they decided to move forward with someone else. On top of that, the stores barely answer the phone, which makes the process even more frustrating. Companies need to be more organized and communicative with applicants instead of leaving people waiting endlessly with no answers.
