I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2016
Interview
Brief, standard questions, easy. I was referred by a friend. The interview happened in the late 90's so the process has changed now. I basically walked in, filled out a form, came back another day for the interview and was hired on the spot.
Multi stage interview process that required multiple interviews with HR and the departmental manager. The overall process took about two months to complete, and although time consuming, was fairly simple
The interview was speed-interview style with multiple other candidates in the same room. Easy going staff with easy questions. It wasn't overwhelming or confusing and you got a chance to talk to every staff on the hiring committee.
Mostly behaviour questions, quite a lot questions you could find online, questions start as what if. the interview was long but not very stressful. Good opportunity to gain experience if it is your first job.
